Using lubricants to maximise equipment uptime?

In the majority of cases, the cost of equipment failure and consequential production losses exceed the cost of a lubricant - by far. Applying better lubricants is therefore one of the most (cost) effective ways of increasing equipment uptime in a production environment.

Condition based; lubrication is key

When using top quality lubricants, a more condition based maintenance approach can be adopted. This approach is focussing somewhat more on early failure cause identification rather than on preventive and corrective maintenance. The only requirement for stopping machines is in fact for visual inspections minor maintenance.

Obviously, lubrication is key in this. Longer oil and grease life, less wear and the use of transparent products enabling easy inspection combined with vibration and amp readings and leak detection will make your machine running until it tells your attention is required.

The right lubricants?

Interflon lubricants - by nature – are the right choice for condition based maintenance. They offer better lubricity for longer lubrication intervals and reduced potential for lubrication failure. Well beyond the properties of most other lubricants.

To achieve that at your site too, we can provide you with both high performance industrial lubricants as well as NSF® listed food stuff products in all current viscosity grades for first assembly, repair and maintenance work. Think about it or call us when you want to increase your uptime too..
